A fun and hip pizzeria where they make your pie to order. They have vegan cheese and a gluten free option, and if you ask (which we recommend you do) they will get the sauce from a special bin that doesn't have cheese dropped in it. Best of all, you can choose all the toppings you like for a flat price. Two can easily eat for $25 or less. The only downside is that the atmosphere can be noisy. So for your next night out on University, we suggest Blaze Pizza in Sarasota.
Yeh! Vegan fruit popsicles at Edy's on Main St. You can goto Tropic Cool in St. Pete for more options, but they have several great ones at Edy's right here in Sarasota.

Infuzions is a locally owned Asian restaurant feasting Thai and Vietnamese cuisine. You'll often see a sidewalk sign promoting their vegan options. There is a vegetarian section of the menu and there they ask you to specify vegan. As with all Asian restaurants we suggest you specify vegan and no fish sauce just to be sure, as you never know how much the waiter understands.
Ionie's is Sarasota's oldest pure vegan and raw restaurant. The food is prepared carefully and designed to preserve the full health and nutritional benefits from each bite. They have recently expanded their hours to open earlier and later, so please check their website or call. Also, if you are in a hurry, calling ahead to order is a great option.
A small Thai restaurant in South Sarasota with a Vegan/Vegetarian section of the menu. I had takeout from there several years ago and remember it as very good. As with any Asian restaurant, it never hurts to ask about fish sauce.
