Circle suppers are a great way for people to get together to share a vegetarian potluck meal and fellowship. The goal is to create and renew friendships and interactions with others in the Sarasota/Bradenton veg community, perhaps spurring new ideas and projects. You will have the opportunity to enjoy delicious suppers with different small groups each year. What's the purpose? To provide a way for people to get to know each other in a relaxed, informal small group environment—to build a sense of community. To be exposed to new foods, new people, and new ideas. Here’s how it works: Sign up (email below), indicate your interest in participating. You can either sign up as an individual or a couple. Once signed up, Mary Lou Keller (AKA the Circle Supper Fairy) will contact you every other month (starting March 2007), telling you who is in your group and who is the host, plus some ‘wait listed’ guests. It is up to the host to contact participants. The host will usually provide a main course and non-alcoholic drinks, and ask the 4 to 8 participants to bring any alcohol and either appetizers, salad, or desert. Hopefully, you will only have to host once per year. There are many vegans in our group so dinners will be vegan by default.
